How did you get into debt?

How does your economic reality effect your art?
I want to pursue a full-time career in the arts, but I don't think I could support myself if I did so. As a result, I have a full-time job outside of the arts and I paint on the side, occasionally showing and selling my work. As a painter, I would love to have a rented, private studio space where I could produce my work, but due to my current 7 day a week, 10 hour per day work schedule, I don't have the time to justify putting money towards a studio space I would rarely use. In the mean time, I have a studio corner set up in the living room of my apartment. I hope to one day find that big break that allows me to pursue art more seriously career-wise, but until then, I see myself having a full-time job and making art on the side.

Would your work look different if you weren't in debt?:
I don't think so. Money and debt don't come into play in my work.
