How did you get into debt?
Student Loans, the need to relocate for employment and the continuous purchasing for materials, storage and supplies for my art work.

How does your economic reality effect your art?
I do not feel that the need to have a job or employment negatively affects my work, but I do feel that when one is needing to have a large amount of debt in order to gain credit to provide an artist a way to, for example, to rent proper space to live and work, or have the means to travel (credit cards) in order to experience the world around them to network what they have to offer the people. I feel that I and other artist are negatively affected by how debt is "needed" in today's society, especially if that artist wants or has a family, or if they are from the millennial generation. I feel that so much potential can be lost/buried, and is, for an artist or a person with much to offer their community due to this debt-system.

Would your work look different if you weren't in debt?:
Yes, my work will have had more flexibility in the materials used, scale, studio space and the ability to exhibit to a larger viewership (shipping costs). Therefore I have had to rely on the content/concepts to keep my work exhibiting.
