How did you get into debt?
Pursuing a creative career has somewhat put me in debt. Although this was a reality I was willing to take in order to do what I love and be self-satisfied. I say somewhat because it's a reality that I am not making a good amount of money pursuing my creative career, however, other factors such as the banking and career development (college) systems have had a huge role in my debt.
How does your economic reality effect your art?
It affects my art in the materials I choose and the time and energy I am able to devote to my artwork.
Would your work look different if you weren't in debt?:
I think so. I think it would because I would have more time to devote to developing my skills and techniques instead of spending my time and energy doing work that helps pay my bills. Perhaps I am looking at this the wrong way, but I tend to spend more time working on things that pay my bills then the actual artwork I want to produce.
