Artfoot

1. River Bottom, 2016, acrylic spray paint and oil on paper, 60 x 40 inches
How did you get into debt?
I accumulated debt raising my children when making art, raising a family and teaching could not cover the bills. Credit card debt is how I paid for winter coats, paints, new roof, dental bills, etc.

2. Refracted Part, 2016, acrylic spray paint and oil on paper, 60 x 40 inches
How does your economic reality effect your art?
I spend most of what I make trying to pay back what I owe, charge art supplies to credit cards, and try to keep the debt from growing. This cycle is oppressive. Despite years of trying, I am not free.

Sheer Coruscating Dither, 2016, acrylic spray paint and oil on paper, 60 x 40 inches
Would your work look different if you weren't in debt?:
My brushes would not be so sad and my paints would not come from jumble sales. The expansion of my work investigating new materials could be funded.

5. Momentary Slice of Diffusion, 2016, acrylic spray paint and oil on paper, 60 x 40 inches
