How did you get into debt?
My debt was and will be incurred while financing undergraduate and graduate school education, home mortgage, health care and car purchases for myself and my family.

How does your economic reality effect your art?
The materials I choose for art-making are practical, common, inexpensive and often recycled found objects that help me avoid the need for costly art supplies. I often envision ambitious art project ideas, the design and execution of which, I inevitably scale back due to insufficient funds.

Would your work look different if you weren't in debt?:
As is the case with many Artists I know, my art work would look different if I weren't in debt because I would be better able to fund qualitative execution of more ambitious, forward-thinking art projects.
