How did you get into debt?
Student Loan that I couldn't pay when I was caught in the "starving artist" syndrome and which has since become exasperated by interest penalties.

How does your economic reality effect your art?
The major effect is that I don't have enough studio time. My process is very slow due to needing a job to pay my debt. I paint every day, but only on the weekends do I have the luxury of spending hours on my paintings.

Would your work look different if you weren't in debt?:
My work is about being on a quest. I'm sure the nature of the quest would change if I didn't carry the burden for financial worry.
