How did you get into debt?
I live in NYC. The most expensive city! I can not think of a time when I was not in debt. With housing, education and trying to afford a studio its just an endless cycle.

How does your economic reality effect your art?
I am limited to select materials and working in a smaller size because of the costs of materials. I was even pushed out of my current studio because the landlord sold the building and raised the rent 3 times the amount and I couldnt afford it. I am currently studio homeless and looking for a studio that is affordable. I would ideally like to go back to working on a larger scale with more expensive materials but right now I just cant afford it.

Would your work look different if you weren't in debt?:
If I wasnt in debt that means I would have money. With money I would really work much much larger than how I paint currently. Even though I put all my money into my work already, I have project ideas that I would LOVE to do but require money to make it happen.
