Student loans, car loan, mortgage, wedding, being unemployed in the winter of 2013

How does your economic reality effect your art?
The highest quality materials are not always used and I often use the charge card for supplies. Sometimes a lower grade material is perfect and sometimes it is simply a compromise. However, for better or worse, I stubbornly stick to what I have decided that I want to make. Procuring supplies has been less about being strategic and more about an act of desperation.

Would your work look different if you weren't in debt?:
Yes. I could work less at the day job and put more energy into my fine-tuning my practice.
