How did you get into debt?
Art school loans, business loans, friend loans, show production and set

How does your economic reality effect your art?
I have avoided doing anything that would incur debt and I have nothing of material value. I've worked since 14, spent what I earned on food and rent. Debt is a choice given to you by a system in power, I see its benefits but also what it does to people in a negative way, keeping you in debt makes a certain person mentally, trying to "get ahead". Naively I believed there would be some other way without loans that I could save the money I need just to get by and live off the grid. All Ive done is live paycheck to paycheck and have/feel limited ingenuity with the current system. Seems like life will be like this for years to come for plenty of people. I don't have the time anymore.

Would your work look different if you weren't in debt?:
