How did you get into debt?
Student loans to pursue my dance career. I wanted a better education at another school and it was out of state, so that is a majority of where my student loan debt came from

How does your economic reality effect your art?
Because I have to work a 9-5 to pay for bills and material to make more work, I barely have the time to fill out applications for grants or even apply for grad school.

Would your work look different if you weren't in debt?:
Yes. My work is symbolic of self reliance. "Use what you have" is a huge part of my process, from learning new techniques on YouTube to not acquire more student debt to buying a majority of my materials at Dollar Tree.
