"Market Walk" - Acrylic painting 24" x36" This is about how women have always worked, even in different cultures, or a different time, although they might not have gotten credit for it.
How did you get into debt?
Supposedly I owed a tiny amount more on a credit card after I paid up what I was told I owed. This tiny amount had subsequently snowballed. This was after I had gone to college and lived off a credit card to finish the semester. Now I am always turned down for a credit card and told I have bad credit even though it took about five years to pay it all back.
"I Dreamt Of Sylphs And Glyphs" 24" x 36" acrylic painting
How does your economic reality effect your art?
I have taken jobs in other fields and then try to squeeze out time to work on artwork in whatever time I have left. The desire to make art has never left me, despite whatever obstacle has stood in my path.
"Vortex" 24 " x 36" Acrylic on canvas
Would your work look different if you weren't in debt?:
I would have more artwork pieces with bigger canvases. I would be able to afford art supplies and to have my work scanned and then make giclee copies to sell.
