Third Living American Flag, 2016, Video, 9:51
How does your economic reality effect your art?
It is always at the back of my mind when I go to swipe, but if there is work I need to make, I'll make it, and take from other parts of my life. I will never expect to make money from my work, so it is truly a necessary labor.
Shrine of the Astropostle Sally Ride, 2016, Wood, gold leaf, plexiglass, LED, astronaut glove
Would your work look different if you weren't in debt?:
Not very, I economize where I must, but I will sacrifice almost anything in order to create my vision. (Hence the debt)
